Kim moved to Brazil for love! She now owns a bakery together with Polish friend Kasia, and makes those Brazilians taste our Belgian (and other) goodies. YUMMY.

“Taty and I know each other from …” We have friends in common, and a couple of years ago we did a great photo shoot together for Belgian lifestyle magazine.
“When family/friends come to visit, I always take them to … first” The amazing Ibirapuera Park where you can find some of Oscar Niemeyers best work. The Japanese neighbourhood Liberdade. Comedoria Gonzales for fresh oysters. Minhocão for a surreal walk through the city centre. Vila Madalena, the bohemien part of town, known for Its graffiti.
“If I want to have an amazing breakfast/lunch/dinner, I go to …” The Little Coffee Shop and Beluga, best coffee in town (and I sell my sweets there!). Lunch in Comedoria Gonzales (ceviche! oysters!), dinner in Tabuleiro de Acarajé. Acarajé is a typical snack from the northeast of Brazil. Its a croquete made of beans and filed with vatapa ans shrimps. For a snack in the late hours I go to Filial in Vila Madalena, best coxinha (chicken croquete) in town! Cocktails at Franks.
“When the night is young, I go to …” Lots of places to chose from, São Paulo is knows for Its great nightlife.
“If I want to reflect, I go to …” There are some beautiful beaches close to the city.
“My morning routine consists of …” Drink a fresh juice at the padaria (bakery).
“I like the locals more than Belgians because …” Brazilians are very optimistic and easygoing. Everybody is friendly and happy.
“I like Belgians more than the locals because..." Belgians are more direct. Sometimes that makes live easier, you know more what to expect.
“If I miss one thing here, it’s … “ My friends and family, Belgian food (and drinks!) and sometimes I miss speaking Dutch.
“If there’s one thing that frustrates me here, it’s …" The extreme inequality between rich and poor. Sad.
“I get inspired here by …” The Brazilians, especially the common people. Full of good energy and positivism!
“Since I live here, I’ve changed my mind about …” My lifestyle. I'm much happier with less stuff, less shopping, less spending money on things I don't really need.
“If I could go back in time, I would go grab a … with … " I would like to go back to the sixties to see some of my favorite Brazilian bands play. Tim Maia, Os Mutantes, Novos Baianos, Jorge Ben.
